Is someone doing the Anime Evolution convention out in Simon Fraser University. I had been thinking of running my Orcs' Nite Out tournament out there if no one else was.
The same week-end there's also a Con by the Vancouver Gaming Guild. Does anyone know the quality of their Cons?
I'm also starting work on a Lia-Kavair scenario; I don't if it'll be ready by then but there's a Con as well at the end of August; a HP Lovecraft thingy with other types of games.

I will be there and I am running the Haunted Past scenario from HarnCon. Part of the deal for us getting the SFU Altered Reality club to sponsor HarnCon (and thus negate our liability insurance requirement), was that we have people from HarnCon run games at Anime Evolution. It will be great to have your game there as well John. It looks like it will be a fine con, but the emphasis is on anime more than gaming.

Check out the web site at http://www.animeevolution.com

Cheers,
Brian

Ya, I've been to a few sci-fi conventions which were like that. In one of them I had only 2 guys show up for my Orcs' Nite Out. Still had a great time though; they worked together to increase their rank(s) among the Gargu-Viasal. It was cool. There were prizes offered so they just decided what prize they wanted.

I checked out the Anime Evolution link. They said they had about 400 registrees. Big crowd. I'm going to have to create a Harn hand-out - one with links to here and other Harnic web places.

When I spoke to the organizers they said they expected 800-1000 participants at Anime Evolution.
