Here's some text from the description:

The Kingdom of Chélemby stands at the gateway to the Gulf of Shôrkýnè. It was founded as a wintering station by Ivínian clans in the fifth century, but was a key centre of Járind culture for more than a millennium before that. She has grown to become both the 'greatest city of the north' and a powerful trading state. She is much coveted by her larger neighbours, particularly Hârbáal, but has also acquired some powerful friends, including the mysterious realm of Emélrenè.

Her culture has been influenced by many sources: Ivínian, Hârbaalése, ancient Járind, and immigrant Eméla, Shôrka, Tríerzi, Ázeryàni and Karéjian traders. This has creating a unique political and social climate dominated by 57 noble clans, or Tia-Nalâri, who share the rule of this virtual city-state with a constitutional monarch.

Chélemby's merchant fleet and trading posts connect the worlds of the Ivínian north; the feudal kingdoms of Hârn, Shôrkýnè, Emélrenè, Palíthanè, and Tríerzòn; and the warmer lands of Hèpekéria, Ázeryàn and the Venârian Sea. Chélemby is truly a great hub of the Northwest of Lýthia, from where adventurers, traders and seafarers set forth to make their fortunes, and seek fame and glory.

This module describes the Kingdom of Chélemby. It details the islands' Geography and their Flora & Fauna, including the herring upon which Chélemby depends, delicacies such as the Sênakis Pike and the Sooty Mâlben, and other stranger creatures. Her long History is detailed, from the time when she was a centre of Járind culture, through the Hârbaalese invasions, up to the present day. A Chronology comparing events on the Chel islands with other locations over many thousands of years is also provided.

The Current Affairs and Foreign Relations sections detail both domestic and foreign political and economic conflicts, and many opportunities for both Chelembian and foreign players to take part in events involving Chélemby's long reach.

The Government section includes decriptions of the kingdom's complex administrative systems, key officials, its taxation and revenues, the Royal budget, and the adminstrative divisions of the Kingdom. It also describes the island's three major settlements (Chélemby City, Evánekin and Kolâdis), and lists all its nalâri (manors) and their owners.

The Kingdom's military and naval forces are described in detail in the Military and Naval Forces sections. Extensive descriptions of both vendetta and common Law, and lifeblood of Chélemby, her Economy and Currency are provided.

Chélemby's Society & Culture are a unique blend of Ivínian and other social customs. The Tia-Nalâri clans dominate the nation's population, politics and economy, but others seek their place in the sun. Details of the role of thralls, of personal names, adoption, Hûsgaran (huscarls) and shield maidens are all provided, as well as a description of marriage customs. Information on clothing, food & drink, bathing, poetry, song, theatre, decorative arts and sports and games fill out a full picture of the lives of the Chelémbians.

Religion is a complex issue on Chélemby. While Sárajìnians are in the majority, there are significant numbers of Ágrikans, Laránians, Haléans and Peónians, and small numbers professing other faiths. The islands are rich in Folklore and Mystic Places, including the tales of Aéric the scholar searching for the lost Jarind town of Témian, said to be the location of the Circlet of Témian; or the jewel mines of the ancient Yârynè; or legends of the lost clan Évan. Several ongoing feuds are almost legendary in themselves, adding recent stories to those told of the ancient ruins such as Dínibôr, Mýrian, or Zhôrian. The islands of Chélemby present a great deal to explore. A Glossary and list of common names provide a guide to those who might otherwise find this complex place a little heady.

Chélemby is richly illustrated throughout, and interactive bookmarks and links make it easy to find anything quickly. Kingdom of Chélemby will also print well (in colour or black & white) if you want hardcopy at your gaming sessions.

The Kingdom of Chélemby provides a wonderful home-base for groups of adventurers to explore the wide world of the Northwest of Lýthia.

Are their other options besides Pay Pal? Pay Pal with its new expanded number program is really pissing me off, I can not get the number even having purchased it until my mail, usually weeks later arrives. :x

I like it.

But I'm really hanging out for Chelemby City. Now that's a wonderful base for a group of adventurers!! Especially when they own a ship.

:)

I like it and its a significant improvement over the original that was housed inside the Shorkyne regional supplement.

Like Peter I am waiting for the release of the city portion as this will make Chelemby one of the most complete works out there, the other two major cities having already been published.

I found the art a bit unusual, but its okay and a lot better than the woodcuts of some other releases. IMHO some of them seemed to be a bit foggy, then again that could just be the artist's style. overall though I liked what was their and how it was presented.

Overall I think this is another great Harn product! I haven't read all, but what I see has been impressive. I do have a couple of minor gripes though - some of the maps resolution could be better - especially the poetic maps (which are all really nice - but I haven't tried printing them yet), also it would have been nice to have some more personal details of the important persons in the kingdom with portraits and all - like there was in Koladis and Evanekin.

Now I have to finish reading this and then start waiting for Chelemby City:)

There is no such thing as a kingdom without 'folk'... :)

We are working on a module called Chelemby - Clans & Folk which will describe (obviously) the clans and folk of the kingdom... and we'll throw in at least one clan-based 'adventure cluster' just for good measure...

It will also include heraldry, political maps, and stuff like that...

The reason we didn't include this material in the main kingdom module is that it would have been very big, more than 170 pages. People don't mind big modules, but they do seem to mind downloading them, and they do seem to mind big prices.

I've bought it and had a bit of a read.

I like it so far - the formats & illustrations appeal to me.
Lots of background material to bring the place to life.
I don't have have a huge amount of spare time, so I'll leave it to others to go through for any inconsistencies and other detailed stuff.

Overall, I personally think that the extra $ to be paid is made up for by the higher level of detail - people who want just 'broad-brush' may disagree.

So if my maths is correct, that's about 100 pages for this Folk module? 8O

You are correct. There are 57 noble (Tia-Nalari)clans. Each will get at least a page, with information on the clan, its history, trade dealings, politics and leading folk. Some clans will require more pages. Then there is inter-clan politics and alliances. And adventure material. And maps. And other stuff...

Cheers

I rather like the woodcuts.

Again, a wonderful effort and I just started reading it!
Also have to aggree with the others on this one Robin, from what is hinted at in the country article and from what I've seen before (I 've been to his house and seen alot  ) I'm also looking forward to Chelemby City!

Finished my initial read-through and am happy with the purchase.

A lot of the old Chelemby information is still there, but the expanded detail has made a lot of things clearer. Of course, it still feels a bit 'hollow' without the Clans & Folk, but we know that's coming. :)

So all up, it is my personal opinion that KP & CGI are so far competing fairly evenly.

For Chelemby kingdom we are probably looking at something like $60US or so for the atlas maps & stats, Kingdom module and Clans & Folks module. Print them out yourself. Fewer consistency concerns to worry about because areas off Harn have not been fully detailed before.

For a CGI Harnic kingdom, we would probably be looking at a similar $ amout by the time you factor in the atlas maps. Less detail, but I think more 'tightly' organised and slightly better hardcopy. Also probably much more restricted by existing material and fan opinion (more editing time & cost).

As long as my finances hold out, and no-one's in court, things are working for me. 8)

Will there be a blazon only page like the old kingdom modules or will the heraldry be inline with the text like in Evanekin?

The reason I ask is because I print the bulk of text on a monochrome laser and only print maps and covers on an inkjet. Replacing ink is too expensive to print the whole thing in color. It would be easier if I could print off one color page for all the heraldry.

I guess you could call this a feature request. I suspect I may not be the only one in this situation too even though the cost of a color laser is rapidly dropping :)

It would surely be easy to keep it inline per the KP style, and also to repeat the color heraldry on a separate plate, either at the end or as a separate download. Then your printed b/w doc would show the heraldry in grayscale, which would be enough to remember "Oh, those are the guys with the 2 lions" or whatever, but you'd have the color as well, without going broke buying ink.

The clan arms will be included with each clan entry. You can reasonably print these pages in B&W for economy.

Also, we will provide two pages of heraldry either of which you can print in colour if you so desire. The first page is a simple diplay of the arms of all 57 great clans given in order of precidence. The second page is a display of maritime heraldry: the 'house pennant' of each clan, together with the national/merchant flag, jack etc., for the kingdom.

For those of you who would like to know more about the new Kingdom of Chélemby module, we have created a special preview pdf and made it available in the Free Downloads section of http://www.kelestia.com.

We have also created wallpapers (jpeg bitmaps) of the "Chéler World View" (poetic map) that people seem to like so much. These are also available in the Free Downloads section.

Being Swedish, I still have to get over the "Scandinavian style" names and phrases. It's just a bit too close to home. Unfortunately, Chelembian is what you get when a Swede is making fun of the Norwegian language. :?
