I am in the process of revising a city map (in CC3) for an upcoming campaign in the Midnight setting. The reason I am posting here is because I want to ensure some realism into the layout. My assumptions are that (1) the building squares reflect individual plots and that (2) the city once was a center of higher learning akin to say, York. The scale, though, seems to be too generous IMO, but wanted your thoughts. As is, the city is about 4000 feet in length N-S. Is this out of whack, or am just being too nick-picky?

Thanx!

Mark

Well, I calculated that there are roughly 200 acres in the city proper. Using Ross's estimate of 60 individual's per acre, this would give a city population of 12,000. I am thinking that the scale is just about right after all.

Sounds about right to me. The figure I use is 100 per hectare which, IIRC, is 60 per acre.
