Longtime lurker emerging from the shadows...

I'm fairly new to Harn, but have been playing table top RPGs since 1984, with the same group, more or less!! Although, obviously we have taken the occasional toilet break...

Our weapon of choice has always been RuneQuest, and by extension, Glorantha. However, we recently decided to give something else a go. I remembered Harn from an old White Dwarf artical from way back when and decided to look into this as an alternative setting. My players were bowled over by it, so between us we've picked up pdfs of HarnWorld & HarnMaster. Preliminary writing has begun on what I hope will be an epic campaign...

Our original thinking was to use RuneQuest with Harn, but having begun to digest the rules, I am leaning towards using HarnMaster.

Anyway, just thought I'd say hello...

Welcome! You will find a vast amount of excellent (and free) material on lythia.com.

For a beginning campaign I would suggest Warriors' Grave or else Jedes / Shower of Silver. Or try Joe Adams' Knights of Kaldor (google it).

My favorite is perhaps The Earl's Progress, but I don't know if it would be good for new folks to Harn.

HârnMaster is a good choice for Hârn, of course. However, RuneQuest is also good... given the similarity of BRP to HM, you could even port individual rules from HM into RQ.
