Session 90, "Smithwork", has been posted and can be found in Book 6, "the Book of Journeys", at:

http://www.nolomarrising.com

Wherein Duff learns more about forge-work, and magick, and why the ways of the Order of the Shek-P’Var are handled the way they are.

Nolomar, the links to the last two sessions (89 and 90) seems to be broken. I always get a 'Server not found' error message. The older sessions are no problem.

Interesting. The link should get you to the website, and those 2 sessions are the last ones in book 6, "Journeys". I'm not in a position to do site maintenance for the next few days but will look at this when I get back. In the meantime, you should be able to get to the accounts by opening the second page in book 6.

Thank you for pointing this out.

Session 91, "Hodiri Days", has now been posted.

Nolomar Rising session 91

Several months pass quickly when you're learning new spells. It's just as true for Medicine Women as for any other spellcaster.
Fortunately, Yang the storyteller has other ways to pass the time -- and much more of a plan in mind.

Hope people like it.

Session 93, "Spiritwork", has been posted.

While his sister Yin and their friend K’Arandi have been learning magick from the Mother the Qorchia Medicine Woman, Yang has been busy. Slowly, he has been convincing warriors that there is something wrong with the story of how Hannar came to be their Chieftain. For years, he has searched for his father’s body. Now, while they are preparing to head back North to join Lord Jared’s mysterious journey, he has one last chance to look, with a very special method he never knew existed.

Session 096, “Qorchia Council”, has been posted and can be found at: http://kenmay.net/nolomarrisingweb/?p=387.

The two Medicine Women have finished their séance and are trying to recover.

In the meantime, Yang finds out what has happened back at the main camp since his father’s spirit rode out to gain vengeance against the man who killed him -- and the Qorchia warriors take matters into their own hands.

Session 097, “An Old Road", has been posted.

The other characters in the game are scattered across Chybisa, Kaldor, and the Hodiri lands. Duncan is up in the northern pass across the Anadel hills, still searching. The driving force for his search is the hunt for someone who should have died six hundred years ago.

He searches for a specific aspect of history; that requires winnowing out only what he needs from all the new things he finds. Some finds relate to his search; some are new, and which are merely new to him. He has already found glimpses into the history of Harn, in unexpected places. This pass promises to have much more to tell, of the history of Harn, and the history of his people. But does it also tell of the ancient wizard he is searching for?

Session 098, "A New Road", has been published.

Duff is underway, leaving Tashal for the mountains of Melderyn. It's a journey that could easily take a month or more. He's being told he should make it in about four days, which rules out every means of travel he knows of.

It was inevitable that sooner or later, the magicians of the Shek-Pvar would turn their attentions to one of the oldest dreams of mankind. How to achieve it varies with each different school, of course; the outlook influences the results. But for the Jmorvi discipline, the magicians concerned with stone and metal, artifice and engineering, there are extra complications.

Session 099, "Training", is posted.

We've seen what Duncan has been up to since he left Thay.

We've seen what Duff has been doing for the past few tendays.

We've spent time down in Hodiri lands, seeing what Yin and Yang and K'Arandi have been doing.

Here's what Durendal has been doing for the past two months.

Session 100 pt 1, “Gathering, pt 1”, has been posted.

This group hasn’t been together since the caravan got to Burzyn in chapter 56. Now, each for their own reasons, they are all headed towards the same place.

Of course, that leads to the second problem for a referee – getting the group together at the same place AND at the same time…

This is the first part (of 2) of a massive play session, and the beginning of the next book of the campaign -- Book 7, the Book of Telumar. I’ll be posting the second part soon, but felt it needed to be broken up into smaller pieces.

The second part of session 100, "Gathering, pt 2", has been posted.

There were a few moments that particularly stood out.

Player: “I’m not trying to hit AC 5 in the chest, I’m trying to CRIT AC5 with a called shot to the heart from a close-range ambush – let’s be clear about this! Let’s go over the list of modifiers again.”

Player: “I’m leaving behind the nasty parts.”
Ref: “Your favorite dish is stewed eyeballs! What do you consider nasty parts? Wait – don’t answer that!”

Just FYI, you have a repeated section:

"He was perfectly capable of washing his own clothes, but having others volunteer to do it was – odd. He was perfectly capable of washing his own clothes, but having others volunteer to do it was – odd."

Nice catch. That got past every one of the players, too.

Fixed.
Thank you --

"What to leave, and what to take? He would have to lHe woujld have to eave "
And there's a < / p > showing somewhere.

And Duff seems to have forgotten that pebbles = stone :)

Least I can do for an enjoyable story.

Just realised that cask of Duff's is probably going to fall apart, unless it's leather bound rather than iron bound.

Been running a similar story line on and off, except my lot are all Lia Kavair members, and ruthless with it.

I only recently discovered Nolomar Rising, and I've read it through like a novel, all the way up to #104. Great stuff! Now I'm in suspense waiting to find out how they're going to deal with what happened at the end of the past post. :)
