Let it be known: the next LythiaCon will be August 10-12, starting Friday evening and ending on Sunday evening.

Depending on number of attendees there will be two alternatives - Alt 1 for 20+ and Alt 2 for 10-20.

Venue
Alt 1: Sweden, Höllviken - Conference room at Foteviken
Alt 2: Sweden, Lund - Conference room

Hotel etc.
Alt 1: Hotel in Höllviken, 30 minutes by foot from venue, 5 minutes by car. Est. 700SEK per night.
Alt 2: Hotel in Lund, 20 minutes by foot from venue, 800SEK per night.

If alternative 1 then I will arrange a trip to Foteviken on Friday, before the Con starts.
If alternative 2 then we most probably plan for a visit during Saturday.

Lund is a small town with a long history - below a few highlights:

For those of you bringing spouses and so's, I'll be happy to help you find meaningful activities for them!

What say thee - is the date and plan acceptable?

Mikael

Thanks Mikael, that's the sort of detail we need to plan with.

I should have asked the usual question about whether the hotel prices are good for the Thursday night &/or Sunday night if flights make that necessary.

Thanks for your work on this.

Lund is a very pretty town. Last time we didn't have time to explore but a partner would find it attractive and Copehagen is not far away on the train - Andy and I can recommend a restaurant there for lunch; you've never seen such perfect competition!

... and Ystad isn't far the other way if anyone wanted to go Wallender-spotting.

do you mean the alternatives to be reversed? If we DON'T get more than 20 we go to Lund?

You're right - I've corrected the original posting.

For others considering the trip from the UK, there are morning flights on the Friday from Stansted and retutn on the Monday from Copenhagen. It will require a pretty early start if you're travelling south like me but the price looks very competitive.

It appears that all regional direct flights to Copenhagen have bitten the dust in the recession. If anyone finds a decent flight from Manchester/Newcastle or points between, let me know.

Thanks to The Killing/Forbrydelsen, my wife would now like to visit Copenhagen.

Time to do some costings and get a proposal together, methinks.

Dan.

Iviniacon VI will be held in Lund, in the South of Sweden. Lund is very close to the major Copenhagen airport - only 45 minutes by train.

Please visit the webpage at http://www.ivinia.se/iviniaconroot/ - I will post news and updates on the blog.
There is a new commenting function being tested for the first time - please use it vigoriusly :-).

I will post calls for adventures and show of hands for those interested...

Mikael

Well done, Mikael - you never fail to deliver!

I can certainly offer up 'The Mystery of Zudan Water', set in Melderyn of all places.

I'd quite like to playtest a second Hepekerian Adventure: 'Rotten Fruit' and, maybe, episodes from the final chapter of the Peran Quartet.

For a change of pace I also have 'A Golothan Fiasco' which uses the Fiasco rules and which might fit around the more formal timetable, as I doubt it will fill a session.
