Keléstia Productions is extremely proud to announce that two versions of a brand new, definitive, regional map of the islands of Hârn is now available for purchase.

This product is available both as an electronic, interactive PDF file, with multiple layers, and as a printed poster, which will be shipped to customers who order that version.

These two (separate) products can be purchased from the Keléstia Productions webstore:

- Hârn Regional Map (interactive PDF version)
- Hârn Regional Map (printed version)

A preview of these products is available from our website.

We hope and trust you will enjoy these products, which we consider are a fitting tribute to a lifetime's work by Hârn's creator, N. Robin Crossby.

35 Dollar for shipping the printed map to Europe! Never.

Is that by air or by ship?

That is why you have the electronic option. That is what it costs to ship an unfolded, rolled map in a tube, from Vancouver.

We wish it was otherwise, but that is the fact.

This is a copy of a question I’ve asked Jeremy on the Kelestia site.

Jeremy

Shipping for a printed copy of the map is $35.00. This is (you’ll agree) a significant mark up on a $25.00 product. You say:

“We wish we could ship for less, but shipping a poster tube with a full-sized map is not a cheap exercise!”

Could you let me know what the shipping cost for 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6 maps would be? It seems possible (likely even) that the postage for 2+ maps may in one poster tube may be little (or no) more than the shipping cost for one, if several could be bundled together into one tube.

If this is possible it would be cost effective for me to order more than one map. Four maps for $135 is $33.75 each, a much better deal than one for $60. I’d appreciate a quick answer on this, as I will then contact Andy Gibson and Alun Rees and see if they want to share postage.

If this is possible then it may be a good idea to publicise it as it may increase sales; especially to places where groups of fans meet regularly.

I’m cross-posting this on the Kelestia section of the HârnForum because of the concerns about postage costs being expressed there.

Neil

I quite understand the concern at the cost of shipping a single map to Europe, or to elsewhere. After all, I am myself in NZ.

If anyone is interested in bulk shipping arrangements for the Harn Map, could they email me at jeremy@kelestia.com, or through the "Contact Us" webform on the kelestia.com website, and we will do our best to make special arrangements for those wanting to do this.

Regards

Jeremy

there is also the option of making a (300dpi or so) Jpeg version available to those who purchased the PDF. Those customers could send them to their local photo/printshop via internet or bring them in. Here in Germany, a 50x75 cm photoprint is about 6-7 Euros... Ultra heavy paper and photo quality...

Thanks Jeremy, I'll try to find out who (locally to me) would be interested in sharing shipping costs and I'll get back to you with numbers.

General Call

Anyone within a reasonable (say 75 miles radius from Newcastle-upon-Tyne) from me who'd be interested in doing a postage deal with me, please get in touch. This is basically anywhere north of Leeds and south of Edinburgh.

I was referring to (for example) our local photo-shop does only accept Jpeg, not PDF.

I cannot justify US$60 (about NZ$90 at today's exhange rate) for a single map as much as I would like to have one. It looks fantastic but kids have to be shod and fed and so forth.

consider the electronic product. It's real purty too :) (and more useful in my opinion)

I've just bought (and downloaded) the electronic version of the map. I've spent the last half hour just looking at it.

Highly recommended.

By the way - where have the mones and quarries gone? The areas where there are deposits are on the economic layer but the Warriors of Mameka are goiung to be really pissed off if their 'great hope of Agrik's bounty' has evaporated! And the Red Shadows - well don't say I didn't warn you!

Mines and quarries were always at a lower level of detail than the regional map.

Fantastic map, guys - this is excellent.

Jeremy, are there plans to make a higher resolution map of Harn that includes minor settlements as well? (Either one single giant map or in regional sectors.) That would be truly cool.

In a nerdy sort of way...

...that is perfectly normal in these precincts!
