We had so much fun at HarnCon in KC last year that a few of us locals will have a very informal gathering again at Hollis Center on the weekend of July 17th for some gaming set in Harn. So far the list is mostly local to KC or nearby (I think the contingents from St. Louis and Wichita may join us). I expect there will be about 7-8 of us..

If there is anyone on the forum in the KC area pm me and I'll email you the details...

I'll be driving over from the St. Louis area if there is anyone who wants to car-pool.

Have fun, folks! I still remember how great the last Harncon was!

If I have the funds I wouldn't mind coming up that way. I live in Northeast Arkansas now.

Sorry guys, I won't be able to make it. I have a medical appointment that got rescheduled to Thursday and I have to be back Monday morning for a mid-term and that just leaves Friday and Saturday and its eight hours one way from here to there. Have fun and enjoy the weekend.

Roy

Wishing I was there again. Right now, it's the lack of extra cash since a car decided it wanted extra attention. Any way, HOW WAS IT? Gotta know..... :?

Sorry for the delay in posting an update. I've been distracted with work and getting ready for HarnCon San Diego. We had a good time in KC this year with our local crew. We had a total of 8 attendees (not counting offspring who joined us for dinner and the joust.)
Attendees included Dave, Taran, Peter, Monica, Brent, James, Matt, and myself.

Friday Night, Dave, James, Brent and I had a chance to play test Dave's block game Kaldor in Crisis, which we enjoyed very much. Brent and I battled it out over Tashal and depleted each others forces. Meanwhile Dave cut off James and mopped up...

Saturday morning I missed, but Dave ran "A shower of silver" as there were several who had not played that session in the past.
Saturday afternoon Brent ran "Dangerous Quarry" The Kuborans ran off on their own and the civilized hunters almost got killed by the big cat without them...

Saturday dinner was grilled burgers and dogs at Hollis center. Peter also ran a full 128 knight joust using his joust program that does a lot of the work for you. We were able to get through the whole thing in about an hour...

Saturday night, I ran "Ethelrion's Lament" A horribly miss-named adventure that shall henceforth be known as "Sometimes it's fun to be the monsters"

Sunday morning Dave ran his Thieves in the Shire adventure set in Minarsis where a group of stalwart citizens hunt down some horse thieves. We then adjourned as Brent had to drive home and the rest of us thought it would be good to have some of our weekend to prepare for the upcoming work-week.

Brent and I were both at HarnCon this weekend, and we had a chance to share our adventures with the attendees there. Dave was also generous enough to let us playtest Kaldor in Crisis.

Joust program! 8O Joust program you say! Ahh.... would Peter be thinking of sharing that with his fellow harniacs? [-o<
