On page three of the new Kingdom of Rethem there is an illustration by the talented Richard Luschek that's just begging for a caption. In the spirit of fun, we've decided to have a contest to select the best you can come up with. Of course we got this idea from a great post on this very forum.

Send your entry here on the forum to us via PM (one entry per person, please). Include your HârnForum name, real name, email address and your suggested caption. The deadline for entries is February 28th, 2011.

We will select the top 5 entries and post them as a WarFerrets poll on or before March 5th, 2011. The poll will run for two weeks. The entry with the most votes will receive a gift certificate from CGI that will entitle them to 30% off coupon (to buy as much as desired at that discount).

A caption is a funny title/statement like you see on cartoons - often these are something that one of the characters in the picture could be saying - to make a joke of it. Something like "She always said she had a head for heights" - but the idea would be to come up with something better than that.

A caption for this image could involve a description of the scene, the dialog between the soldiers, or any text that goes with this image.

It can be serious, political, dirty, or uplifting. You can even try to make us cry with some touching comments about decapitation. Have fun!

Hehe, nah. Are you from Kanday or something? It's Rethem for Agrik's sake, and in Rethem it's politically incorrect not to walk around the castle bragging and waving with decapitated heads. Not to mention historically inaccurate. I mean what do you think you have castle walls for?

Just stopped lurking when i finally cought up on some forum reading. I saw tthe pic for the caption contest, and while it has probably passed thought a good caption would be:

"out with the old and in the the knew"

or

"off with the old and on with the new."

Heh, that one would totally have made the top five. I would have voted for it.
