Hi there,

finally I'm here at Harnforum and want to introduce myself. I'm roleplaying since 1986 (first contact was D&D) and became a busy player and GM in the following years. In 1989 I first heard of Hârnmaster and met bjarnic (see last post) and some other people roleplaying on Hârn. I enjoyed the realism of Harnworld and the fantastic elements of this awesome gameworld. The only reason not to change the Roleplaying system in these times was that I had some groups running in campaigns in Midgard (german Roleplaying game) and Call of Cthulhu (which is one of my most appreciated systems since now besides Harnmaster).
In 1994 I began playing in a campaign settled on Hârn with a Peleahn Shek Pvar. The main theme was the Jarin rebellion. This campaign lasted until 2008 as bjarnic stated before. Two years ago I started a new group in Kaldor as GM (it's not the one bjarnic mentioned) and we had much fun with it. Maybe there are some maps and locations (Temple of Save K'nor in Tashal, ruined Manor in Arien Forest...) I will send to community in the future, but I'm struggling with CC2 and my spare time.
Today I'm PC in bjarnics group (Chelemby), my own group is currently in Abriel Abbey and tries to solve some mysteries around Prince Brant and murders in the abbey.

Other activities of mine are Live Action Roleplaying (GM and Player), boardgames and (medieval) music. I was crazy enough to make some attempts to learn playing bagpipes. My chalumaux is always with me at LARP as I'm playing a bard there.

In real life I'm teacher (physics and mathematics), 43 years old and I'm a lucky man: my wife shares my hobbies with me!

Welcome to HârnForum. We are not so many and perhaps we are not always so active, but we are the nicest bunch around :D Most of the times :? .

Welcome,

don't hesitate to search and ask for anything HM related. The guys strolling around in this forum have an impressive and eclectic range of knowledge (and are not shy of sharing  )

Welcome!

I couldn't resist the temptation to ask if you're related to our dear old Uncle or if it's just a coincidence: http://gatherer.wizards.com/pages/card/Details.aspx?multiverseid=108805 ;)

Nice guess, but false... :)

Istvan is the name of one of my characters. The name originates from a novel series of Paul Edwin Zimmer ("The lost Prince", King Chondos' Ride"). Istvan Di Vega was in this novel a master swordsman whose destiny was to kill the only man, who could inherit his title as champion of swordsmanship. Great book, very pathetic and very much military tactics in medieval setting with fantasy elements. Since Paul Edwin was member of the Society of modern anachronism (he died in 1997) the book describes many combat scenes in detail. It has many parallels to the Darkover Books of Paul Edwins sister Marion Zimmer Bradley. I took the name because he is similar to many european names like Stefan, Esteban, Steve but is different. So it has a realistic touch with fantasy elements.
