Just go to the area "add yourself", enter name, ZIP code, shout out, and picture. Picture needs to be JPEG. Whenevr you come back to the map from the same computer, your info will be already entered for you, just type in the shout out.

I've tried getting on this 3 times now and it never shows up. So, I won't be bothered to try again.

I know that Anborn had trouble getting his push pin to work...he tried it at my house, on my machine, and it worked.

So you might try another computer, if you aren't too frustrated at this point.

OK, I'm in.

And the pushpin isn't too far off. If you zoom in until you can see whe intersection of the 1 (actually 101) and 126 freeways, you can see that the 1 freeway makes an odd job just north of the harbor. I'm 2 blocks west of where the 101 crosses Main St.

Instead, the pushpin appeared in the backyard of some homes just south of the local community college. It's about 2 miles off.

Got it now. I tried the same earlier but it didn't work.

If you're outside US, do you have to enter anything else aside the name of hte city? Like what country you're in? Tried it again but it just doesn't seem to know the city I live in.

A lot of the time, they have the spelling different from what is commonly used. Try different accepted spellings. For outside US. I'm not familiar, but I will see if I can find out correct procedure.
Any body else have that problem?

Well the trick was to spell "Oulu" without caps.

If others feel, as I do, that this is kinda cool and even possibly useful for planning Harncons and finding a game if you have to move etc., then we should agitate with Leitchy to make the link permanent somewhere and encourage people to put their pin in.

I agree about making it a sticky. After I created the trhread, I was in doubt about its location, but the deed had been done.
I used to avoid Warferrets when I first started on this forum. Heck, still do, except for this thread.

I live near the two bridges who crossed de St-Laurent's river. Prensently, snow falling down on Québec City.
