The Solori Letter:  The Righteous Crusade Against the Savages:
By Aaron Kavli,  Art by Richard Juschek.

Succor not the savage Solori, brothers!  While they are pitiful creatures, feel not pity!  They are not worthy thy pity, only of thy scorn.  Be ever vigilant in thy holy crusade against them.
Some have raised objection to our valiant fight, indeed from within our own chapter and from those who have not even seen one of these sub-human fiends.  Should ever these sops smell the rotting rags the Solori wear, or look into those feral eyes before being lanced through the gullet, mayhaps they would realize the extent of their ignorance!
This holy war was not dreamed up out of spite of flights of fancy!  Nor is it some petty act of vengeance, Larani knows the endless crusades that could be formed should we war against all the savages and heretics who have slung both arrow and blasphemy at us.  No, the Solori are far more a threat than that.  Do no let their backward and savage ways deceive you!
Long did the righteous brothers and sisters of the Chivalrous Lady try to bring the light to the savages.  But they slew our kind missionaries of peace and grace in a grisly and barbarous fashion.  But this blood thirst is only one trait of these filthy devils.
In every aspect of their ways do they insult the eyes of Larani.  They cling to ancient ways they no longer know, the Solori have no sense of them selves, or what it is to be human.  They are little better than animals.  And yet it ends not there!
These stinking barbarians are filthy, disease ridden, creatures who revel in unchecked bloodlust.  Perhaps the murdering, raping Agrikans would have success converting these beasts; the two certainly share the same beliefs!  In their backwards, simpleton tongue, which they use as indeed they lack the abilities to speak as true beings, have they confessed their sins.
'Don thy armor and wield thy sword, that thee may defend the weak and honor the innocent in the grace of Larani,' say the holy texts.  Yet these savages decry the use of armor as cowardly!  Thus they would call Ancardina cowardly, and Larani herself, being free of fear and folly, a coward!  This insult its self is enough to call for their destruction.  And they yet affront us with their ways!
The ways of cowardly combat, fighting from shadow and ambush, are common enough amongst those outside of Larani's light.  That they rely on primitive stone and stick for their murdering ways is of no surprise.  But in addition they see the use of poison, the weapon best used by cowards and assassins and witches, as acceptable and even honorable!  Oh that Larani would make them partake of their own foul concoctions and send them all from this world!  And yet these actions fail to describe all of their evils!
Those that die defending those heretical beliefs and squalid pits of decay they know as homes are not even honored.  Those warriors are not honored, they are disgraced and their family becomes chattel.  Disgusting!  Nor are their women, their own mothers, sisters, wives, and daughters, held in any esteem!  They too are chattel, traded from man to man as common whores.  There is no virtue in this.  The Solori are utterly devoid of righteous ways, indeed any ideals of chivalry are utterly alien to them.
And still we forgave.  But when more of our brothers, knights slain by cowardly ambush but three years past, their true threat was realized.  Despite monumental efforts on our behalf, the Solori are little better than Gargun.  They cannot be redeemed.
I could go on still of the evils of the Solori, but I feel it would be unnecessary.  Be strong brothers.  Succor not the Solori, keep thy faith.  In the face of external and internal objection, in the face of ignorance and misplaced pity, in the face of plea and pledge, always remember ye do Larani's work.

Sir Paetyr of Kalin, Lady of Paladins.

The above letter (and several copies) have been circulated throughout the chapter houses of the Lady of Paladins fighting order in Melderyn.  Recent concern about the Order's activities towards the Solori tribesmen have led to subtle questions and investigations by the Ethelanca made Sir Paetyr write (he actually hired a scribe) the above letter.  Being one of the staunchest supporters of the crusade, Sir Paetyr has hand delivered several of these letters.
