Description

This appears as absolutely nothing (it's invisible you see). It feels like a silk cloak with a hood. It is 7' in length and wraps completely around the wearer. Cotton ties are on the inside (at least the side where you can feel seams...but then with an invisible cloak does it matter if you wear it inside out?) to tie it closed. It has a Lyhavian aura.

History

Cloak Invisible is an ancient magical item, created in 227TR by a mage who's name is lost to time. It seems the day after he created it, it was misplaced. While many have claimed to own it over the years, few have actually, er... seen it, shall we say.

It was last owned by Aglir of Telen, the sixth Autarch of the Thardic League. According to his personal diaries he used this magical item to spy on his men in their off hours, to better weed out the treasonous among them. Most scholars believe this (as well as the existence of the cloak) to be a complete fabrication as the cloak was never found among the Autarch's effects after his loss of office.

Many assumed it somehow found its way into the black market, but few seemed interested in finding it. Rumors of a magical cloak that could turn the wearer invisible abound, and are given absolutely no credibility.

Powers

The cloak requires the wearer to be attuned before it will work for them. It was created by casting Cloak of Bekla (Lyhavi IV) and Jorum (Neutral II) while the silk was being cut and sewn together. If the silk is pulled apart to form a flat sheet of silk, the spells creating the magical effect will disappear.

The cloak adds an armor value of 1 to all locations. It is flammable and has an Armor Quality of 6. The cloak is large enough to fold over itself on the wearer's back, making both it and the wearer visible.

The cloak has an indefinite magical effect, which means anyone knowing the Jorum (Neutral II) or Cloak of Bekla spell and the Dispel spell could effectively destroy it with a single casting.
