Description:
This is a mythril medallion on a leather thong. It is covered in complex knotwork designs. It weighs 15lbs and yet is hollow. It is 5" long and tall, 1" thick, and in the shape of a diamond. It has a magical aura of Savoria.
The metal is a pale blue in color and will not scratch easily. At times the outer surface appears oiled, or covered in a strange glaze that does not come off when rubbed.
A fine examination will prove that this medallion has a fine mythril coating atop iron. The two metals are somehow merged, and yet they remain clearly stratified, the blue against the pale gray of the iron.

History:
Monkachi was a renowned mage of great talent before disappearing into the Hefiosa hills. From 582-599TR she was president of the Guild of Arcane Lore in Coranan. Her specialty was psionics and Savorian magic. This medallion was one of her gifts to the chantry upon entry. During the Theocracy, the Guild of Arcane Lore was sacked and this, among many other, items were lost. The Medallion has reappeared twice and both times the Guild has not sought its return. The first time was born by a young recruit sent to Taztos in 608TR, and the second time is by a female legionnaire of growing fame in 718TR. Where it has been prior to this, and what misadventures led it to be found - remain a mystery. The Guild and the temple of Save-Knor will pay well for its return.

Powers:
This medallion grants one random psionic to the bearer for as long as they are in contact with it. The medallion must be no further away than a number of inches equal to the bearer's Aura.
A new psionic may be generated and the old one lost, only when the bearer re-attunes themselves to the medallion. The medallion will only grant one psionic to the individual bearer at any one time, regardless of range. If a second person attunes to the medallion and touches it, they must also take it out of range to gain the psionic. When they do this, the first bearer will loose the psionic.
Roll on the following table to determine which psionic is granted.
01-05 | Aura Reading | 56-61 | Sensitivity |
06-09 | Clairaudience | 62-67 | Telepathy |
10-16 | Clairvoyance | 68-72 | Disembodiment |
17-21 | Danger Sense | 73-78 | Mental Bolt |
22-25 | Directional Sense | 79-82 | Pyrokinesis |
26-31 | Healing | 83-87 | Telekinesis |
32-37 | Hex | 88-93 | Negation |

Note: The bearer need not have an Aura of 12 to gain a new psionic through this magical item. Otherwise treat the psionic as normal and have the character generate the appropriate skill. It may be improved through practice as with any other skill.
If the character already has the psionic generated, roll d100 against the skill, and consult the following table for results:
CS: | The medallion acts as a +15 bonus to the skill. |
MS: | The medallion acts as a +10 bonus to the skill. |
MF: | The medallion acts as a -10 penalty to the skill. |
CF: | The medallion acts as a -15 penalty to the skill. |
The Medallion has an Armor Quality of 15.
