Apprentice of the Bonding House of Coranan
Darosta stands 5'7" tall but weighs a scant 119 pounds. She has a dark complexion and wears her black hair tied back in a tight braid that falls down to her waist. She has large brown eyes that often sparkle with mirth. An attractive woman, she is aware of her beauty and not above using it to her advantage in a bargaining situation.
Darosta is the eldest child of 4 from a poor family living in Kerbain. She visits her father and siblings twice each tenday. Her father relies on the few coins she brings to supplement his own income as a teamster. Darosta avoided legion service due to the Mercantyler's guild's intervention. She owes them 10 years of service and is well aware of the limitation this places on her freedoms and choices in marriage. She is certain the guild is going to use her in a political marriage in the near future and she loathes the idea of being married to a foreigner.
Darosta is a practical joker by nature. Always careful with merchandise, she has none-the less had Lirin and Sarabis both walk into traps of water-buckets and small sacks of flour. Korthel thought insisting she clean up the results of such jokes would slow her down, in truth it has only made her more inventive. She never willingly plays practical jokes on the slaves and Korthel secretly believes they are in league with her.
Darosta is fair by nature, but knows just how much leeway the law allows. A stickler for the rule, she has excellent handwriting and a good eye for detecting forgeries. Sarabis fears she may be Korthel's choice in replacement. Lirin is certain Darosta is targeting him next for some great practical joke. They are both wrong. Korthel will not even consider her until she stops playing practical jokes, and Darosta is planning on getting Sarabis next.
