He is a hanger-on, and acts as gopher to Master Cirus in return for the transport. He joined the Caravan in Golotha and had to barter furiously in return for space on the third wagon. Fortunately Flotubrius is also an excellent cook and has good engineering skills (which came in handy when a wheel needed replacing on one of the carts).

Born on the 19th of Peonu (Aralius) in 692TR, to a prostitute in Coranan and an unknown legionnaire. He gained an apprenticeship into Cartography by unusual means. His intent had been to steal a map during the night, but the Master Cartographer caught Flotubrius at his desk the following morning still admiring the map. Rather than turn the boy in, he bought the child from the Lia-Kavir and Flotubrius never looked back. Astoril of Bylin adopted the boy and taught him the craft of cartography.

He stands above the middle height (5'8") but is scant for his frame (122lbs). He is handsome, with a dark complexion, black hair worn straight and shoulder length and brown eyes. He seems shifty upon first encounter, and appears very nervous in crowds or around strangers. He has a love of gambling and most admit he's a good looser (he must be as he looses so often). He never talks of family, but will speak fondly of his master. He thinks his current work is a fools errand, but the pay is good.
