Lordai is a regular at the Wooden Tankard Inn. Only he, Angus and Samson are aware that Angus is actually a slave, owned by Lordai. Lordai has made both men swear on pain of death to keep this secret, regardless of the circumstances. Most believe him to be a master merchant who does not like travelling outside of Tharda. He meets with other merchants regularly and organizes transactions between them and his backers. Very rarely is he ever seen with wagons and assistants, yet he always seems able to find assistance as needed.

Born the 11th of Larane (Angberlius) in 689TR to the Frilbro family, he was the second son and thus was fated to inherit nothing from his otherwise loving family. Of a family of 8 children, he and his older brother (now a mercantyler's journeyman in Coranan) were the only two to survive childhood. Lordai quickly found he was better at dealing with smugglers than honest businessmen. Unlike most he joined the Lia-Kavir late in life, becoming more of an organizer than a thief. He has friends in high places, but unfortunately they are just as afraid of legion justice as he is.
Lordai is just above the tall height (6'7") and of light frame, weighing only 127lbs. He likes to dress extravagantly and lives the life of a rich merchant. He is of average appearance with a fair complexion, blonde hair worn just a bit too long to fit beneath a legionnaire's cap and blue eyes.
Personal Belongings
In his room are: a chest of fine clothes (3 tunics, 3 hoes, 2 sets of shoes, 8 silken scarfs, 3 cloaks, 2 coats and underclothes for five days), and a purse of 123d. The chest also holds an amulet that radiates magic. Beneath his bed, in a hidden compartment, is a cloak of invisibility. The hidden compartment must be touched by the amulet, and it too radiates a similar magic.
The other items in the room are : some papers detailing shipments and orders to be filled, 3 quills, 2 vials of ink, 12 empty pages, the oil lamp (half-full) and a washstand with a fresh pitcher of water. If the PCs enter and search the room before noon on the 1st of Halane, three of the six suits of Red Guard armour will also be in the secret compartment beneath his bed.
