Born on the battlefield on the edges of Kanday, her mother discarded her at birth. She was raised by a local peonian couple who received a regular stipend from the church for their diligence. She was named Serenima after her supposed father (a soldier by the name of Serenimor.) She never saw either birth parent. She was one of the eight chosen from her village to serve in the legion.
And so, at age 16 she presented herself for service to the nearest Legion keep. Her four years of service were the best years of her life. The work was no easier than tilling the soil at home; but richer in both companionship and wealth. She raided bandit hold-outs, helped kill off Kandian Nobles and chased the religious knights back across the borders. At the age of 21 she returned home with a thousand tales to tell. But her foster parents were not interested. And so, after a year with them on the farm - a local boy proposed marriage. She declined and rejoined the legion. She served until she was 30 (718) when she retired from the legion due to injury. In a battle with local bandits she had the misfortune to have two crossbow bolts penetrate and shatter her leg. The wounds healed well, but now she is lame. Taking her retirement fee from the legion, she sought out old friends and began work as a washer woman for the Haven inn. She lives in a small shanty nearby. She admits its no dream palace - but it suits her needs, and she is happy and accepted by the locals in Omagil.

Serenimor has always been attractive. She has a full legion kit (armour and weapons) tucked safely away at home. Normally she wears sandals and a simple long tunic tied off at the waist. For formal occasions she has a tattered leather vest that she throws over the tunic. Her long black hair is usually tied up in a bun, and always very clean. She has a smile that lights up her whole face. Some say she has a few suitors, but it's Kerbin she's really interested in.
