Despite the lack of sleep, the exhaustion, the other activities that should be completed, I undertake the writing of htis journal so that a record will persist should the Universe finally get to me, despite (or because of) my new statust as Hero.

Since my enrollment as a Milities Linari, I have witnesed a large number of strange events, indicative of hte movement of great shadows conspiring for an unkown purpose on a large scale. Some of htese events are of an almost outworldly nature; while some others are rather more mundane. However, even these last kind, taken all together, make me wonder what is the purpse of hte forces that caused these events.

The X files.

I

I was very surprised, on my very first day of training, to learn that a valuable armour and a weapon were waiting for me at the camp. This equipment was supplied by Vurnt of Masane. Although I had worked for him before, I still don't understand why he would freely offer this service. There must be something bad attached to this gift.

II

During training, it was clear that we (our tenaci) were generating great interest among some hot shots high in the hierarchy and from the political class. Apparently, there was something planned for us specifically.

III

Durring our travel to our first assignment in Fobin, we were attacked by a few brigands. I prsonally tired to attack one who simply disappeared when I tried to strike him. It was apparent that he was an illusion. I also sensed that we were being closely watched from afar by uinnatuarl means. this was a great surpise to me since I was thought our kind had to be very discrete about this kind of activity.

IV

During our first few weeks at Fobin, all kings of unnatural events occured that indicated some kind of preparation for greater events to come. There were: attacks by Vlastas and undeas, the violent rains that cause flash floods on the river - clearly arrising from unnatural causes, the arrival of a unicorn in very strange circumstances (this last event is particual in two respects: the convoy the unicorn was part of was attacked again by unnatural means; the presence of hte unicorn, although obviously noticed by the persons who should care, has not been the source of any concern. It is apparently considered normal.)

V

We have all had strange dreams since our arrival in Fobin. These dreams seem to be induced by an unkown force, for unknown purpseds other than to prepare us for something of great importance. They don't seem to be desinged to scare us. I have also detected a presence watching us from afar on several occasions.

VI

Everybody in our tenaci has been given very valuable items. Fennelisa recieved a medallion of protection, Caius a very knowledgable piece of paper, and a myself two locator rings. Two members of I-I Fobin have also recieved a single ring. We later learned these gifts were from Phillips (our Mani). Where they came from and why we were given them is still a mystery. This must be in preparation for future events.

VII

We found by extraordinary chance a helmet made of strange metal in a sink hole. Its presence on the river bank makes absolutely no sense. We have found other objects (a scale from an armour, and a shield) made from the same metal. Or maybe I should say they have found us. Again there is some force directing these objects to us, for an unknown purpose.

VIII

During a patrol, we found and killed two very strange, large, animals with a peculiar mark in the shape of a crown. The crown has been a theme of our dreams. One of hte creatures was obviously intelligent, although nobody else semmed to notice. These animals must have beloinged to a pwerful person, who later demanded reparation from the Legion. These animals must have been there in preperation for an attack, or for a coming war.

IX

I have been set-up to be accused of the kidnapping of Sister Anna whom we were here to save. The set-up was obviously well prepared: a piece of burnt paper, the same that was left ont eh scene of hte crime, was left for me to pick up; an invisble person left obvious traces so that I could follow him to a check popint where several other individuals claimed to have witnessed my crime. I suspect there will be no follow up on the accusation, as this would force the accuser to reveal himself.

X

There are growing signs that several powerful persons or entities regard us as Heroes. Why somebody in his right mind would think such a thing is a mystery. In my opinion, this can not be good.

These are some of the signs that high forces are maneuvering quietly for a great upcomming event. Some of these forces soemhow want our tenaci to be involved in these events. Why were we chosen? What exactly is going on behind the shadows?

I will try to consign my future observations whenever I have the time. If you read this after my uuntimely death, be warned: keep your eyes open, whatch carefully for strange events. Seek the truth.
