HISTORY

His mother died in childbirth in the year 700 TR. He was granted the clan name of Wytel when his father (Markus Wytel - Bachleor/Herald) acknowledged him as a bastard. He was raised by Wytel clients in the town of Esuron. Jodanus Sepicus acted as his tutor from an early age.

At the age of 12 his father sent for him to come to Coranan. Markus gave him to Jordanius of Masane - one of the private litigants for the Wytel clan. Jordanius worked the boy hard - making him memorize all the important cases, taking notes in Jordanius's own cases and even as delivery boy and gopher. By the age of 16 Vurnt was already a schollarly lad. His first case in the forum (age 20) was well recieved. To this day he is know as an aspiring young litigant. His cases in the forum and the rostra are popular.

Vurnt attends most of the social gatherings. Officially he is only and adopted son of Jordanius of Masane (who's widow is now a matron of social affairs.) Privately he is known as "yet another Markus Wytel bastard." While he may occasionally have a lady on his arm, his social standing makes it difficult to marry in the citizen class. He needs to obtain visible fame and fortune to clear his name.

To find some of the more obscure, or dangerous data of his cases - he tends to hire Samual the finder. He has gained a reputation for taking cases below his caste. He has even been able to prove the innocence of several slaves accused of murdering their master. And yet none of these cases has tarnished his reputation - for the crowds all love winners.

PSYCHOLOGY

Vurnt is competitive, driven and curious. He goes after cases that, if he were more cautious, he wouldn't. Those he cannot win on facts alone he wins by charm and personality. The crowd loves him. His voice isn't that great, nor is his appearance - but he knows that and tries to make up for such looses with great amounts of work, research and details.

In less competitive settings he appears lazy and lack luster. He doesn't eat much - nor often. His wine is always watered, and he never touches other alchols or stimulents. He smokes leaf or poppy from time to time - but the affectation appears to be more one of curiosity than habbit. He is mildly additcted to a few of the rarer drugs in Coranan but only seems to need them when he's not working on a case; as if they solve the bordom.

CLOTHES/APPEARANCE

Vurnt usually wears a long tunic with a cloth belt that holds several wax scratch pad and a sharpened stick. His feet are shod in either sandals or short boots, and he often travels with a slave who carries his cloak and reference materials. While he has some skill with weapons, it is unlikely that he will use them. He would prefer to call for the proper authorities whenever possible.
