Azeryani PCs
There are no modifications to the basic 3d6 characteristics.Roll for parents' background on the Imperial table. Urban-bornand raised PCs are assumed to be at least somewhat literate unlesstheir specific background would prevent it. Open one script at 30% + knowledge bonus. The nobility are assumed to be literatein both High and Low Azeryani, start both languages as nativetongues and open 1 script at 70% + knowledge bonus. Any characterwith a background which involves scholarly work or any writtenwork for the government is assumed to have a background in HighAzeryani, ie High Azeryani (1).
Azeryani tend to be dark complected with dark brown or occasionallyblack hair and most have brown eyes. They are of average heightand build. There is substantial variability in physical type withinthe empire however, because of the diverse peoples which havebeen included at one time or another. It is possible to play acharacter of a different ethnicity, as far as body type, who isstill Azeryani by culture.
Azeryani soldiers have several possible backgrounds, basedon the type of unit to which they are assigned. The various backgroundsare listed in the background skills tables.
Azeryani PCs could also be athletes of some sort.
